Terms & Conditions of Booking
Face to Face Courses
Payment
For individual bookings, payment of the course fee via our online payment platform is required to secure a place. Places cannot be reserved without payment.
For organisations booking multiple places, payment will be due 31 days from the date of the invoice or 31 days before the course date whichever is the sooner. The delegate and firm and/or organisation placing the booking shall be jointly and severally liable for payment of the course fee.
Cancellations & Refunds
We offer not for profit courses and incur costs and commitments. We must therefore be prudent.
Important: Cancellations must be in writing. We need to be sure it is you. Writing may include an email from your known address.
Where bookings are cancelled at least 32 days (by 4.00pm) prior to the course date the full course fee will be refunded less a 10% admin fee.
For bookings cancelled between 31 and 8 days (by 4.00pm) prior to the course date the course fee remains payable and is non-refundable. Delegates may attend another course of equivalent value free of charge. Where the course is of lesser value, the balance will either be held in credit against your account or set off against outstanding fees at our discretion. There is a 10% admin fee for this arrangement.
For bookings cancelled 7 days or less (by 4.00pm) inclusive of the course date the course fee remains payable and is non-refundable. Delegates may attend another course for an administration fee of 20% + VAT. Where the course duration exceeds one day the fee payable is 10% + VAT.
Substitutions
Delegates may be substituted at any time at no additional cost however notice of such a substitution and full contact details for the substituted delegate must be provided.
Course Changes
We reserve the right to alter the course content, timings, speaker or venue where necessary. Should we have to cancel a course we do not accept liability for travel, accommodation or other costs which may have been incurred by any delegate.
These conditions shall be subject to the law of England & Wales.
Any person who is not party to this agreement shall have no rights under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of its terms.
Copyright
Copyright and all intellectual property rights in course materials remains vested in 218 Strand Limited.

e-Learning & Webinar Courses
General
These terms and conditions apply to all users of 218 Strand Limited’s e-learning courses, webinars or live online training sessions.
Payment
Payment of the applicable fee is required in order to access our e-learning courses. Once an e-learning course is commenced this fee will be non-refundable regardless of the amount of progress made through the modules.
For webinars or live online training sessions payment is due 30 days from the date of the invoice or, where applicable, 30 days before the streaming date whichever is the sooner. The delegate and firm and/or organisation placing the booking shall be jointly and severally liable for payment of the fee.
Once payment of the relevant fee has been received in full an email containing your log in details will be sent to you.
User Access
The copying and/or distribution of any of 218 Strand Limited’s e-learning courses, webinars or live online training sessions is not permitted.
218 Strand Limited e-learning courses are subject to single user licences which permit single delegate access only. The copying and/or distribution of any e-learning course material is not permitted without the express written consent of the Training Director, Jonathan Dingle.
By using our e-learning platform you consent to 218 Strand Limited monitoring usage of the e-learning platform to ensure that access has not been distributed and/or provided outside these terms and conditions.
Duration
You will have 365 days to complete your e-learning course which shall commence from the date the course is first accessed through your account.
Cancellations & Refunds
All requests for cancellations for webinars or live online training sessions must be made in writing. The fee remains payable and is non-refundable but delegates may book another session upon payment of an administration fee of £25 + VAT.
All cancellations for e-learning courses must be in writing. You may cancel within 7 days of purchase provided always that your e-Learning course or courses have not been accessed during that time. For bookings cancelled outside 7 days the course fee is non-refundable.
CPD Hours
Where applicable, subject to satisfactory completion of the multiple choice questions which appear at the conclusion of each e-learning module, the delegate’s account will be credited with the relevant number of CPD hours obtained.
Technical
Prior to undertaking one of our e-learning or online courses it is your responsibility to ensure that the technology used is compatible with your own systems. 218 Strand Limited is not liable or responsible for any technical issues which may arise as a result of your failure to ensure compatibility as above.
Due to its inherent nature in booking a course with 218 Strand Limited you acknowledge and accept that it is not liable or responsible for any delay, disruption or disturbance in the operation of the internet. Similarly you acknowledge that 24 hour access to this website may be interrupted due to telecommunications failures which are beyond the control of 218 Strand Limited and/or downtime for repairs, maintenance and upgrading.
Technical Support
Email support is available between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Requests for support should be sent by email and we will respond as soon as reasonably practicable. Please check the FAQ’s section of our website before requesting support.

Copyright and all intellectual property rights in all our training programmes, materials, logos, graphics and associated website is vested in 218 Strand Limited and no part may be copied or reproduced in any way without the prior written consent of the Training Director Jonathan Dingle.

Bespoke & In-House Courses
Payment
Payment of 50% of the course fee is due to secure your booking and the remainder is payable 30 days from the date of the invoice or 30 days before the course start date whichever is the sooner.
Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellations must be in writing. For bookings cancelled at least 60 days prior to the course date we will refund the full amount paid. For bookings cancelled less than 60 days prior to the course date the course fee remains payable and is non-refundable.
If within the 30 day period prior to the course date you request a change of course date we will use all reasonable endeavours to accommodate the request and an administration fee of up to 20% of the total course fee will be payable prior to the revised date.
Faculty
We reserve the right to alter the course content and/or faculty for reasons beyond our control.
Delegates
We require final delegate numbers at least 14 days prior to the course date.
Catering
The fee charged does not cover the cost of the venue, equipment or catering requirements for In-House courses. These will need to be arranged by the host organisation.
