218 Strand Launches New Online Training Platform

218 Strand has long been associated with training excellence, firstly in mediation but also for its expert witness programmes and legal CPD.

In order to continue to provide high quality, up-to-date training and development but at the same time acknowledging that restricting our offering to 'in-person' courses at our Central London base or other regional locations does not provide the flexibility or access that many of our delegates need or desire, 218 Strand have created a new online learning platform which, we hope, offers an ideal blend of all available methods.

Through their own individual learning accounts delegates will be able to access a range of options including:

• Our usual range of 'in-person' training courses and CPD days.
• Remote courses held live via Zoom.
• Recorded E-Learning modules which can be completed at any time.
• Storage of Certification / CPD Point Record in one convient location.
• Optional reminders of CPD Renewal.
• Early Notification of Course dates / launches.

Course Library - Ongoing Developments

Initially only a limited number of our pre-recorded E-Learning modules will be available due to ever changing Covid Restrictions having made the filming of these courses rather challenging over the past few months! These will however be added to on an ongoing basis with the intention of providing delegates with a vertible smogasbord of options so that rather than a 'one-size fits all' CPD course, delegates will be able to pick and choose those courses that provide them as individuals with the most benefical learning opportunities. The first phase of courses are for mediators but these will be followed firstly by courses for expert witnesses and then courses for the legal profession. 

Additionally we plan to move some of the pre-reading and theory elements of our longer courses to E-Learning to reduce the number of hours of attendance required on our 'in-person' courses which we hope will provide delegates with more flexibility and increase accessibility for those with work or caring responsibilties or who otherwise face restrictions on their time or ability to travel.
